Brees makes history in style, Saints thrash Redskins

The visiting Redskins (2-1) are coming off a bye week and have just watched their NFC East rivals - the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys - all lose, giving them an opportunity to take hold of the division. Brees completed passes to nine different receivers, including one he completed one to himself on a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage. But I don't think it could have happened in any better fashion than it did. Five different Saints combined for seven catches of at least 20 yards and New Orleans's 447 total yards were 107 more than Washington had allowed in any of its first three games.

When Saints began one of their last first-half possessions on their own 38, Brees needed just 35 yards to break the record.

The Saints and their fans have had a lot to cheer about on Monday.

Saints running backs versus Redskins linebackers: For the first time this season, New Orleans will welcome back running back Mark Ingram.

They've only played three games, but Washington's defense now ranks first in yards allowed per game (278.0), passing yards allowed per game (187.3) and points allowed per game (14.7).

Among several Redskins players to leave hurt was Adrian Peterson, who got banged up a couple of times.

He finished with 53 yards rushing and 20 receiving. The running backs were good, but playing from behind, they really couldn't execute their game plan.

With the confirmation, the court secured a rightward shift, one that will have ramifications for decades. Each of Ford's named eyewitnesses also denied any knowledge of a party involving Ford and Kavanaugh.

"Overall, our whole team played poorly and that's a reflection of myself", coach Jay Gruden said.

First, a Ryan Kerrigan sack, his first of the year, was all for naught as safety Montae Nicholson was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty after shoving a Saints lineman.

Late in the third quarter, tight end Jordan Reed makes a sweet sideline grab despite tight coverage for a 21-yard gain.

Trailing 43-13 in the fourth quarter, the Redskins offense starts to come to life hitting wide receivers Jamison Crowder and Maurice Harris for back-to-back chunk plays of 24 yards and 42 yards, respectively. He is set for an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the injury.

Vernon Davis has a hamstring injury.

Saints: In addition to Lattimore, reserve defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth limped off the field, favoring his right leg.
