Nintendo will charge you to play Mario Kart online from next week

Nintendo has announced their Switch Online memberships will launch in Canada, the United States of America and beyond on September 18, 2018. 3, The Legend of Zelda and Dr. Mario, with newly-added online multiplayer, with Nintendo promising that 20 NES games will be available at launch.

However, it looks as if Nintendo will be shedding some more light on the matter tomorrow, when it will be hosting a new Direct presentation. All newcomers to the service can test it out with a one-week free trial via the Switch eShop.

After installing the system update planned for September 18th, 2018 (Tuesday) at 5pm Pacific Time, it will no longer be possible to unlink your Nintendo Account from your Nintendo Switch user.
