Here’s Your First Look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker

The Joker is now filming in New York City and director Todd Phillips has chose to give us the first official look at Joaquin Phoenix in character. I might not care for the Joker's origins, but considering Phoenix's reputation for playing freaky and dark characters I at least thought that the casting was spot on and that it could prove to be an interesting movie from that perspective.

But the vagueness of the name is just another part of this movie's mystique; if you're going to tell a Joker origin story, it makes sense to leave your options wide open. He boops him. It's cute.

Directed and co-written by Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character along with Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz.

Joaquin Phoenix starrer Joker is scheduled to be released in October 2019. And (spoiler alert) his caption simply stated the Joker's real first name: "Arthur".

Did your eagle eyes find any Easter Eggs in these set photos that I might have missed?

Brett Kavanaugh: accuser of Trump's Supreme Court pick goes public
Even after Feinstein sent the allegation to the FBI, Senate Democrats weren't littering the news with calls to denounce Kavanaugh. She said that each person had one beer but that Kavanaugh and Judge had started drinking earlier and were heavily intoxicated.

Reddit user cameron_w_robertson created the "quick mashup", transforming Arthur into the Clown Prince of Crime. It also boasts a modest $55 million price tag, which is significantly lower than most other tentpole flicks in the genre.

We do not yet have the vintage Joker look of Phoenix yet.

After the disappointing critical reception to their DC Extended Universe of movies, Warner Bros hopes for the Joker movie to start a new spin-off series of one-shot movies.

TMZ also has a set video from the film from Splash News.
