Jimmy Garoppolo's addition last season immediately turned around the fortunes of the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers feared quarterback Garoppolo suffered an ACL injury while trying to lead a comeback against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed after the game.

The 26-year old QB signed a five-year, $137.5 million deal with the 49ers this off-season.

Still, Cromartie was not alone, and the suggestion that the 49ers take Kaepernick back on began populating Twitter as fans learned of Garoppolo's injury.

She said when she put her key in the apartment door, which was unlocked and slightly ajar, it opened, according to the affidavit. A protest by the Next Generation Action Network was still scheduled to be held at the Dallas Police Department on Monday night.

With Garoppolo on the shelf, San Francisco will hand quarterback duties to C.J. Beathard.

Garoppolo was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of yesterday's 38-27 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after his left knee buckled right before making contact with cornerback Steven Nelson.

Garoppolo was in his first full season with San Francisco, leading the 49ers to a 1-2 record to start the year.

Savage was with the Texans in 2014, 2016 and 2017, when he played a combined 13 games with nine starts. Savage has a 57.5 percent completion rate with 2,000 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
