But Xiaomi's feature phone is breaking the stereotypes, something which only Jio has done in India.

Xiaomi on the crowdfunding page has written that deliveries of the Qin AI phone will start September 15. The phone can be purchased from Jio's official website and various other offline and online stores. This phone comes with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of storage.

Both the Xiaomi phones - Qin1 and Qin1s come with a real-time voice translation that supports 17 languages based on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

Jio who has now captured the feature phone market in India's mobile industry has got near to the lion's share in this category.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Qin1s is now available only in China, through its crowdfunding Youpin website for RMB 199, which roughly translates to Rs 2,000. On the front, the devices have a VGA camera.

Greater purchasing activity led to the sharpest fall in supplier performance since July 2017. However, input cost inflation steadied from the nine-month high seen in June.

Both models feature a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory and there's a hybrid dual SIM card slot and a 3.5 mm audio socket. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A53 processor paired with the Mali T82 GPU. Connectivity options of the phone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, and a USB Type-C port. But where the JioPhone supports a microUSB port, the Qin1s features a much more conventional USB Type-C port to charge its 1,480mAh battery. Both the feature phones run KaiOS. The phone has been announced at a very crucial time where feature phones are gaining popularity again.

The Qin 1s, on the other hand, is more like a higher variant of the Xiaomi Qin 1. The AI can also answer questions and tell poetry to children.

The Qin AI 4G VoLTE feature phone sports a 2.8 inch TFT display with the same display resolution as the JioPhone 1 and JioPhone 2. The use of an Android-derived OS does place it above the JioPhone with capability to support a wider range of apps than the JioPhone which got WhatsApp and YouTube support only recently. Here the Xiaomi Qin1s seems to take a slight lead.

The screen on this phone is a 2.8-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) IPS display, and it comes with a 1480mAh battery which has been claimed to deliver 15 days of standby time or 420 minutes of talk time on a single charge. The color variants for the phone will be white as well as Black.
