Ruth Reed, a substitute teacher, had made a resolution to help customers at the convenience store Wawa, so when the man in front of her in line was short a couple bucks on Friday, she leapt at the opportunity to help.
"And he said, 'What's your name?' He said, 'Ruth, I'm Keith, ' and I said, 'That's who you look like, Keith Urban".
Reporter: "You got snippy with Keith Urban?"
Ruth Reed was trying to do a good deed when she offered to help a man pay at a Wawa who didn't have enough money. It turns out he was a country music superstar.
But as she was paying she kept thinking, this guy looks familiar.
"He said 'Ruth, I'm Keith, ' and I said 'That's who you look like, Keith Urban". What made the encounter even more special was she helped him pay his tab.

After asking his bodyguard to confirm Urban's identity, Reed wrote that she "realized what an idiot I was". "I asked him his and he told me it was Keith", Reed recalled.
Reed said that's when she noticed his body guards and realized she really had paid for Keith Urban.
Urban had been in the Garden State as part of his Graffiti U tour and performed at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden later that night.
But in fact, Reed is the gracious one in town. I jumped in and said I would pay and explained why.
Reed says Urban stuck 5 dollars in the donation box at the register and happily took this picture with her.
"And he really could have said, 'Lady, get away from me!'" she said.
