The victor will be announced on or about August 29, and will be granted the McGold status, entitling them to two meals per week for 50 years.

According to CNBC, the free food "for life" contest is aimed at boosting the popularity of McDonald's online ordering system.

The contest will take place beginning August 10th and will last until August 24th.

While this may seem like an incredible deal, the entire "lifetime supply" of food is valued at $52,350.00, and the real kicker is that it is all going towards McDonald's fast food.

In late July, McDonald's unveiled MacCoin, a limited edition global currency, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Big Mac burger.

In her interview with Todd, Manigault Newman said she considered the offer an attempt to buy her silence. Manigault said that since this was her first conversation with Kelly, she'd like to ask some questions.

For the first time in its history, the chain is giving away a McGold Card via a sweepstakes. "Limit one (1) Entry per day (regardless of method)". But this contest brings forth the opportunity of the rest of us non-multi billionaires to own one.

For five decades, McDonald's has handed out only a few of the so-called mythical "McGold" cards.

To enter the contest, customers can place a mobile order on the McDonald's app during the two-week period, or alternately, enter via email without making a purchase. Or, you can just have $1,000 bucks added to your other giant cash prize - but what would be the point of that, since you wouldn't be a McGold Card holder?

If you win, your concerns over where your next meal is coming from will be replaced by fears that your heirs will attempt to hasten your death (more than eating a lifetime supply of Big Macs will hasten it) in order to get their grubby mitts on your McGold Card. The rules state to, "put only the date you are sending the email in numeric format (mm/dd/yy) in the subject line and your first/last name in the body of the email". You have between August 10 and August 14 to get those entries in.

The lucky victor will also receive a personalized 24-karat-gold-plated phone case.
