Manchester United move rejected by Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng

Boateng has been the subject of reports suggesting he could join Manchester United, while Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel is also thought to be keen on signing the 29-year-old.

United have been heavily linked with Leicester star Harry Maguire, as well as Alderweireld, but have been put off by their respective asking prices.

Such is the dire state of affairs, that just a day remains in the window, and United still haven't signed the top class defenders they have wanted for perhaps over a year.

Boateng has been a stalwart in the Bavarians' backline since 2011, winning six Bundesliga titles and a Champions League medal during that time, but had admitted last season that he has accomplished everything with the German giants.
