Kelvin Benjamin made some strong comments last weekend about the Carolina Panthers and their quarterback, Cam Newton. Benjamin was speaking with another former teammate, Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who appeared to say with a smile, "I thought we were cool", while standing very close to the receiver. Newton followed Benjamin, but nothing positive seemed to come from their continued dialogue.
The Carolina Panthers have spent roughly the past three weeks in training camp preparing for the upcoming season.
"I ain't gonna go back and forth with him, I'm just gonna work", Newton said.

Benjamin answered questions about the exchange by saying he was "moving on", although when asked what Newton said to him, Benjamin responded, "I don't know". Charlotte NBC News anchor Nick Carboni posted Benjamin's ripping of Newton on Twitter.
