This autumn is shaping up to offer customers a great choice of top smartphones and Google wants to get in on the action.

What do you love or hate about the Pixel 3 XL so far?

And gadget fans have just been given their first idea of when to expect the new Google flagship.

Brandon Lee posted a video on This is Tech Today's YouTube channel showing a new advert allegedly posted by the tech giant itself on Famebit, a YouTube influencer marketing platform, seeking content makers to promote the new phone in Canada. Google is ready to go with OTA files and full system images for the 2016 and 2017 Pixel devices. The last two generations of Pixel phones have launched on October 4, so many expected Google would run a similar schedule with the Pixel 3. The source can not verify that Google shared the aforementioned date, in other words, created the ad in question, but it's highly likely that the two phones will drop on October 4. In the ad description, there is a call for Canadian creators to share their story of switching over to Pixel 3.

Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson set for $10M Thanksgiving weekend clash
Woods and Mickelson have been great rivals throughout their careers, with two competing since their junior golf days. Mickelson told's Alan Shipnuck, "You will hear a lot of the comments that you don't hear on regular TV".

Industry leaker Evan Blass reported that besides the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and second-generation Pixel Buds, Google's upcoming hardware event will introduce a Pixel-branded watch.

The Pixel phones have been widely praised for their photographic capability but, perhaps more importantly, they are also at the forefront of any Android updates.

Today is the big day-after months of beta builds and speculation, Android 9 Pie is rolling out to Pixels (and at least one other phone).

A launch date of October 4 would, providing Apple maintains the same sort of release schedule this year, means the Pixel 3 range would launch mere days after the new iPhones hit store shelves, and be then in people's hands within weeks.
