Fire Emblem is coming to the Switch in 2019.

What do you think of it?

Of course, there have been spin-offs like Fire Emblem Warriors to tide us over in the meantime, but Warriors in particular is so far removed from standard Fire Emblem gameplay that it doesn't really count. This has been corrected.

That said, Three Houses retains the same grid-based combat system as we've come to know, which now allows you to command massive legions for super-powerful attacks. This will mark the first Fire Emblem game for a console since 2007's Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for Wii. In particular, a new strategic twist on battles will have formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield.

Nintendo just announced "Fire Emblem: Three Houses".

The trailer is here, take a look! The game takes place on Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and its people.

The game doesn't have a specific release date yet, but it's planned for a release in the spring of 2019. Now, Fire Emblem on Switch can help the series continue to grow.

All things considered, the trailer for Fire Emblem: Three Houses confirms that the upcoming game will be similar to the titles that preceded it, while also adding its own spin on the franchise's core gameplay.
