Stranger Things books hitting shelves this fall

Deadline reports that Penguin Random House with partner with Netflix on a worldwide publishing deal for books based on Netflix's most talked about series, Stranger Things.

The other titles in this project, which are scheduled for 2019, include a prequel about lead character Eleven's mother and a backstory written by Gwenda Bond.

The third season of Stranger Things officially kicked-off production in April, with Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Cara Buono, Dacre Montgomery, and Sadie Sink all returning. The former, titled Stranger Things: World Turned Upside Down: The Official Behind-the-Scenes Companion, will cover the existent two seasons of the popular Netflix series; the latter, still untitled, will offer "advice, wisdom, and warnings from the Stranger Things world", according to the publisher.

Random House will also be releasing a behind-the-scenes book and a hardcover gift book for younger readers, both due out in the fall. On Twitter, the author said the book will be focused on Eleven's mother Terry and her involvement with the MKUltra program.
