According to police, "the suspect became angry and repeatedly punched the victim in his head and threw him on the ground". In another, a surveillance camera caught someone who looked like O'Neal leaving the area where a victim received "significant and serious stab wounds and cuts to his face, neck, and upper body" on May 4, per police.
Police say O'Neal was later found on the street carrying cash and a knife.
Police said they arrested O'Neal because he matched witnesses' descriptions of a man with red ahir and facial tattoos and security footage.
On May 5 at about 4 p.m., investigators said a suspect also fitting O'Neal's description brandished a folding knife at an employee of a coffee shop on Pacific and Windward avenues.
The police arrested Redmond on the 8th of May after he was identified as a suspect in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven. In addition to second degree robbery, he was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a smoking device, possession of an injection/ingestion device, and two counts of possessing a controlled substance (meth and heroin).
O'Neal pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, which were numerous.
