In a post to Twitter the official Kingdom Hearts account announced the release date, along with debuting a short 10-second teaser.

Having been announced five years ago nearly to the day, Square Enix has today finally slapped a release date on Kingdom Hearts III, meaning it's okay to start getting really excited about the game's arrival.

Kingdom Hearts III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure and support each other through hard times.

Nomura also teases that further information and media (multiple trailers) will arrive further into E3, likely during Square Enix's press conference on Monday. It's coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Japan and Asia on January 25, 2019, followed by North America and Europe on January 29.
