Are you feeling nostalgic for the late 2000s or early 2010s?

The iPhone 3GS was a powerful, capable device, for its time; and a worthy upgrade even over the standard iPhone 3G - though the smartphone landscape as we know it has evolved quite profoundly in the years since its mid-summer 2009 debut. If you are, you will have to get it from South Korea, either through a friend or acquaintance or through online shopping, and in each case the chances are that you will end up paying more than Rs 2,800. ET News reports that South Korean mobile carrier SK Telink has announced that it will once again sale the iPhone 3GS. It's also an interesting piece of Apple's history, as it was the last iPhone to feature a plastic casing before the company moved to the now-familiar glass and metal design.

Now that we've using smartphones for over a decade, we're at a point where early models can officially be touted as "retro" devices. You are still living in 2018, but very surprisingly, the iPhone 3GS has risen from the ashes and is still being sold courtesy of a carrier, for a mere $40. Of course, you shouldn't expect much in the way of performance or app support; the 3GS only supports iOS 6. Apple now supports iOS 11 and more recently announced iOS 12.

According to ETNews, the phones were found still in their boxes stored in a warehouse. The phones that Telink has found were manufactured nearly nine years ago and even though were packed in sealed boxes, there is a chance that some units may have depleted batteries that can't be recharged anymore. So don't get your hopes up about streaming your favorite shows on this mobile relic. However, the phone can still be used for talking/texting and music playback. The iPhone 3GS will be sold at a price of 44,000 Won, which is little less than Rs 2800. If you're still interested, you'll probably want to act fast, since supplies are likely going to be limited.
