The trailer follows Kait Diaz and Marcus Fenix from Gears of War 4. Yes, the highly popular and collectible Funko Pop toy franchise is branching out into games.

More news will be shared on both titles later on, but they'll be coming to iOS and Android.

Gears Tactics evolves turn-based tactics games combining signature fast-paced brutal action and character-driven storytelling with customizable squads, upgradable weapons, and of course, massive boss battles.

Quake Champions also got a short spot, with the announcement of a week long free trial this week, which you can sign up for here. They did promise twice as many demons, but whether that's on-screen at once or in terms of different types we're not sure.

At the show, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson announced Gears Tactics. Microsoft says this will be a "true PC strategy game", so if you're a fan of the genre, this is definitely one to watch.

Does this mean that like its predecessor, Gears of War 5 will be less than innovative?

The announcement mentioned the biggest and handsome world created by The Coalition.

GoW5 is set for a 2019 Xbox, and Windows 10 platform release and the story mode picks from where the series last title left off. We'll find out plenty more in the time between now and then, so we'll definitely be keeping an ear to the ground for more.
