Nintendo seemingly confirms rumors of Fortnite on Switch
Fortnite on the Switch will obviously have some hurdles to jump.
The last Smash Bros. game was released in 2014 for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. Months have gone by but it appears that the wait will soon be over. Xbox One, PS4, PC and iPhone owners are already enjoying the game in record numbers, rumors suggest a Nintendo Switch version is on the horizon. Back in March, the battle royale game debuted for iOS. The video game, which was initially released in September 2017, has broken stream records and is earning millions for game developer Epic Games. The game updates its cosmetics very often, giving players a number of skins and emotes to choose from. Fortnite being the cultural phenomenon that it is, means many people are sure to be excited to have a way to play the game on a platform that has been going from strength to strength. At this point, the real question is whether or not the game will launch during E3 2018, or if it won't be ready until later this year.
It will also be interesting to see what Epic Games and Nintendo have planned for cross-play support.
