Capcom announced Devil May Cry 5 during the Xbox E3 press conference on Sunday, and it will arrive in spring of 2019. Devil May Cry 5, however, is going to be the latest canonical entry in the series' main timeline, following the adventures of Nero and Dante once more.
Years have passed since the events of Devil May Cry 4, and a lot has happened. Devil May Cry 5 isn't developed by Ninja Theory this time, it's back in Capcom's hands. This hellish incursion attracts the attention of the young demon hunter, Nero, an ally of Dante who now finds himself without his demonic arm, the source of much of his power. Things must be settled once and for all.
Devil May Cry 5 is now slated for a Spring 2019 release. The announce trailer showed off some of Dante's new moves, including some that utilize his new metallic appendage.
Nero is back in Devil May Cry 5, out spring 2019
Nero isn't the only playable character, though: Devil May Cry 5 features three playable characters, each with "their own unique over-the-top playstyles".
What do you think of the return of Devil May Cry?
