Conor McGregor due in NY court on charges from backstage melee

Speaking to TMZ Sports, White revealed that he is going to be meeting up with McGregor on June 18, which is next Monday, but the location of their meet was not disclosed.

If the former New York prosecutors are correct, McGregor would be legally eligible to return to the Octagon in late 2018, which of course, would make the highly-anticipated showdown against UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov a possibility if negotiations are successful.

But he never defended the title, entering the boxing ring instead to take on Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, and McGregor was stripped of his title by UFC - with president Dana White announcing the decision in the build-up to UFC 223.

McGregor and his co-defendant, UFC fighter Cain Cowley, could find out whether they will be indicted for the backstage melee in April. I don't know what Conor and his team have worked on.

McGregor has not fought for the UFC since his TKO win over Eddie Alvarez in November 2016. After the event, White said he planned to meet with McGregor in Las Vegas but didn't specify a date.

Volkswagen Fined 1 Billion Euros For Diesel Emission Scandal
Prosecutors in Germany have imposed a $1.2 billion fine on Volkswagen over the company's diesel scandal. Volkswagen's diesel emission scandal started back in September 2015, and it's still ongoing today.

McGregor has a hearing in a NY courtroom Thursday related to his alleged attack.

McGregor will be in court Thursday to answer to multiple charges stemming from the videotaped rampage, resulting in three charges of assault and one count of criminal mischief. Either way, it is unlikely the fighter will face jail time.

It's all set to go down at 6 AM PT - and Conor is required to attend the hearing in person.
