Zombieland co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick went on to script Deadpool, and Deadpool 2, and considering that they're continuing to knock it out of the park, it's a no-brainer that they'd be back to helm the sequel.

Since the original Zombieland hit theaters almost 10 years ago, Reese and Wernick have been busy penning 2016's Deadpool alongside co-writer and star Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2, Life, G.I Joe: Retaliation, the upcoming board-game adaptation of Clue as well as Michael Bay's Six Underground.
Zombieland was a crucial component of the zombie craze that - for the most part - is still infecting live-action media, notably spearheaded by AMC's television hit, The Walking Dead, despite the film's comedic, sometimes-meta, leanings.
While Woody Harrelson was already a big name before starring in Zombieland in 2009, his three young co-stars hadn't yet stolen the spotlight.
