Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has signed a brand new five-year contract.

Winks made 16 Premier League appearances this season but missed the latter stages because of an ankle injury and is scheduled for surgery.

An ankle injury hampered him during the second half of the campaign, costing him a chance of a place in England's World Cup squad.

'I am delighted to signal a brand new contract, ' Carter-Vickers instructed the membership web site.

"I'm determined to go forward positively, though".

He began the term strongly and played a staring role during Tottenham's 3-1 win at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League on November 1.

Police confirmed that no arrests have been made and there was no indication that there will be an arrest. As a result of the surveillance, Najib and his wife have been barred from leaving the country for now.

"I'm still young, I'm really happy that the club has made such a statement to me by offering me a long-term contract, and obviously now I want to try to repay that faith by getting ready for the new season".

The powerhouse defender impressed during loan spells in the Championship last season - representing both Sheffield United and Ipswich Town, as both teams went on to produce solid mid-table finishes.

U.S. global Cameron Carter-Vickers, 20, has also committed his future to Spurs by agreeing a new contract until 2021.

Carter-Vickers is believed to be prepared to return to the Tractor Boys next season, but could find himself providing cover for the Spurs first-team, if they part ways with Toby Alderweireld.

"Now, I'm looking to kick on".
