Wilton High School was ranked the 10th best high school in CT by U.S. News & World Report, which recently released its 2018 Best High Schools rankings.
"This recognition represents a culture of high expectations and teachers and students working diligently to meet and ultimately exceed those expectations", Hampton said.
An annual review of public high schools across the country listed Advanced Technologies Academy and West Career and Technical Academy as the top high schools in Nevada. The state-by-state performance rating was based on which states have the highest proportion of schools with gold and silver medals.
Dobyns-Bennett ranked 16th in the state and 1,964th nationally, with a 96 percent graduation rate, 30.4 college readiness index and AP participation of 39 percent.
Signature School in Evansville is the highest-ranked Hoosier school on the list.

U.S. News cited a curriculum that mixes traditional classroom learning with independent study, mini-courses and upgraded classes as the reason for the high ranking.
The report showed that 52 percent of the school's 2,265 students were AP tested and 86 percent passed.
These rankings also reaffirm what researchers from leading universities have found: CPS students are making durable progress that is an example for other urban districts around the country.
Westview High School is ranked No. 69 in California schools and 425 nationwide, according to the report. It earned a silver award, with a graduation rate of 97 percent and a college readiness score of 49.3. The methodology used for identifying the top-ranking schools was "the best schools must serve all students well and must produce measurable academic outcomes that support this mission", according to the website.
Results of AP assessments factor into this national ranking. The graduation rate has steadily risen by 36 percent since 2011 when just over half of CPS students earned a high school diploma. The increase is driven by African-American and Hispanic students, who considerably narrowed the achievement gap. It is the nation's third-largest school district.
