OnePlus 5 and 5T beta update adds Launcher and Switch improvements

The commitment is evident as it announced that the upcoming flagship killer will receive the Android P update. However, the update now is rolling out to the beta users only.

OnePlus is rolling out new updates to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, but these are specific to those in the Open Beta program. However, they both bring same features to the smartphones. Moreover, it further adds several improvements to apps like Launcher, Switch and Messages. The OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T are getting Open Beta 10 and Open Beta 8, respectively. Switch makes it easy to transfer your data from your current device to your new OnePlus device.

The update is also bringing improvements to the Launcher side. This new update also adds support for editing dynamic icons such as weather, clock and calendar. The user interface is getting a face-lift, the timing will be more accurate, and there are some other general fixes for bugs. It is bringing a new Toolbox Card in n the OnePlus Shelf. However, those who own the OnePlus 5 and 5T will probably have to wait until later this year for the Android P update since the final version of the OS hasn't been released yet. The enhancements come in the form of a new UI for backup and restore, an optimized logic for time remaining.

However, the open beta software update is not being rolled out over the air and the Chinese smartphone maker has posted all the instructions to be followed for flashing the device on the download page.
