Joining Tech Peers, Microsoft's Bing to Ban Cryptocurrency Ads

Microsoft said Bing Ads will implement this change globally in June, with enforcement rolling out in late June to early July. They have followed other social media companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter which also banned crypto related Ads.

"We keep on evaluating our policies to ensure safety and a good engagement among our Bing users and the digital advertising ecosystem".

Bing is now hopping on the cryptocurrency ban bandwagon, joining Facebook and Google in not allowing any advertising for crypto-related products, as well as unregulated binary options.

The ban includes cryptocurrency advertising and advertising for cryptocurrency related products and Bing will be updating its financial products and services policy to include this new decision.

In addition, the company's ads are concentrating primarily on wordage to prevent potential investors from getting the wrong impression.

Google further targeted initial coin offerings and startups that generated cash through ICOs, citing many ventures that have garnered funds through this method only to just walk away with the earnings.
