In the Unnao case, a 17-year-old girl has alleged that she was raped by BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar at his residence on June 4, 2017. The minor girl who was brutally raped and murdered belong to one such nomadic tribe of the State.

Nandakumar, who worked as the assistant manager at a Kotak Mahindra Bank branch here, had allegedly justified the killing of the rape victim, saying she would have grown up to be a terrorist.

The girl from nomad Muslim Bakarwal community was abducted from Kathua's Rasana village in January. "We very much hope that the authorities will bring the perpetrators to justice so they can be held accountable for the murder of this young girl", said Guterres' spokesperson Stephane Dujjaric told the media at a press conference.

Jammu: The family of the eight-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua has made a decision to request the Supreme Court to transfer the trial to another state. "Our daughters will get justice", Modi said at an event to inaugurate the B.R. Ambedkar memorial in New Delhi.

We would never tolerate such divisive forces who are trying to give a communal colour to Aasifa case".

Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday said that such incidents could not be part of any civilized society. Lekhi must explain what took it so long for the two ministers to correct their mistakes if indeed they were misled.

While a meeting of the BJP legislature party is scheduled to be held in Jammu today to chart the future course of action on the issue, legislators of coalition partner PDP are also meeting here to "take stock of the situation".
