State Alison Lundergan Grimes said mid-term elections usually result in strong voter turnout. "I hope every Kentuckian who is not registered but is eligible will save time and go online to GoVoteKY.com to get registered before next week's deadline".
Since the General Election in 2016, more than 122,000 Irish people have turned 18 and will be eligible to vote when polling stations open on 25 May.
Kentucky voters must be registered by April 23, in order to vote in the May 22 primary.

To be eligible to vote in Kentucky you must be a USA citizen, have lived in Kentucky at least 28 days, be 18-years-old by the date of the next general election, have not been deemed mentally incompetent, have no had voting rights revoked and have no voting rights outside of Kentucky.

Voters who have recently moved need to update their voter registration information by no later than April 23, 2018.
Any person who turns 18 years of age on or before May 25th can register, and has the right to vote in the upcoming referendum. Voters who changed their party affiliation after that date are not eligible to vote in partisan races in the Primary, although they may vote on nonpartisan races on the ballot.
