Mohamed Salah impresses Klopp with impressive numbers

Mohamed Salah insists that he "does not care" about personal accolades as he is instead exclusively focused on helping Liverpool to win the Champions League.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah scored his 30th English Premier League goal on Saturday against Bournemouth, becoming the first African player to reach that tally.

The Reds now occupy third place in the Premier League - behind confirmed champions Manchester City and rivals Manchester United - while also recently advancing to the semi-finals of the Champions League courtesy of two fantastic performances across two legs against Pep Guardiola's City side.

But the Reds manager also insists his team will not be distracted by Salah's quest for the Golden Boot award, for the Premier League's top scorer, as Liverpool seek to end their season by winning the Champions League.

"If I had a choice between the Champions League and the Golden Boot, then of course it would be the Champions League, no doubt the Champions League".

Although the Egyptian has stolen headlines with his goals, creativity, and general influence on the side, both Firmino and Mane have also been huge contributors to Liverpool's success this season.

"Of course it [the Premier League Golden Boot] is in my mind".

Speaking to reporters Van Dijk said: "It's good stuff playing against them in training, it makes you better".

Alexander-Arnold clipped a pass over Ake's head and on to Salah, who nodded superbly over Begovic and into the net for his 40th goal of a remarkable debut campaign at Anfield.

"We have to carry it on for a few games to come". I'm also sure Tottenham's players try to help Harry Kane and also Manchester City's try to help Sergio Aguero'.

Liverpool should have built on their early lead and the only surprise was that Bournemouth managed to keep in the match, and keep Salah out, until the 69th minute. That is the most important thing for us, that we play as a team, as 11 players, and so each goal for me is to help the team.

The goal also saw the Egypt global reach the 40-goal mark across all competitions; a feat that he achieved in just 45 games. But even in the end I said it - I try to score every game to help the team.
