Drake Announces New Album Title & Release Date

The "Passionfruit" rapper unveiled a picture of himself on Instagram Monday wearing a jacket with the word "Scorpion" emblazoned on the back.

Announcing his Scorpion album now is as a good a time as ever.

Drake started working on the album last summer.

He posted the above Instagram which reveals that his new album is due out in June and probably called Scorpion. The captions of both photos are "June 2018".

Earlier this month, he released the music video for "Nice For What", which starred several popular Hollywood actresses including Rashida Jones, Olivia Wilde, Tiffany Hadish, Emma Roberts, and Zoe Saldana.

His song "God's Plan" topped the USA singles chart for 11 weeks - until being dethroned Monday by another of his songs, "Nice for What". It was an instant hit with the fans and that explains why Drake has replaced himself at the number 1 spot of Billboard Hot 100 this week.

"Nice for What" made its debut on the chart at number one Monday and is now Drake's fifth Hot 100 #1 song.

He's been teasing the album, which he's been recording in his home, for a little while: More Life ends with the line "I'll be back 2018 to give you the summary", for starters.
