If a new high school is built, then approximately $18 million to $20 million would need to be spent on the current high school building to upgrade its mechanical systems and transform it into the district's middle school.
Two of her three sons go to Taylor Canyon Elementary, one of the schools that was part of the school district's school consolidation plan presented earlier this year. "There's some unique partnerships that I'm interested to learn more about, and I think it's key to bring city leaders in to do some great things here".

As the board members took their turns stating the level of spending that they supported, the $127 million spending range emerged as the favored level, with Wolff, Wood, Billig, Engel, and Lisi all saying that they felt that that was the level necessary for the project of the scope that the district needs.
The four finalists for Bardstown City Schools superintendent are Chuck Abell, assistant superintendent of Spencer County Schools; Matthew Baker, director of district-wide programs for Greenup County School District; Ryan Clark, principal of Bardstown Middle School; Anthony Thompson, director of pupil personnel for Russell Independent Schools. She is touring the space with them so she can log and address concerns, she added.
The board eventually tabled this discussion for a future get-together.
