Queen Bey has now taken to Facebook to share the news with her fans.

Singer and performer Beyonce lit up the crowd at her debut performance at Coachella, a year after she was announced as a headliner.

Later, the Grammy award victor, 36, staged a Destiny's Child reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Her performance with Jay-Z gave a preview of the couple's upcoming On The Run II tour set for this summer. "Thank you Coachella for letting me be the very first girl into headline".

It was an epic and stylish display of female empowerment that had jaws on the floor - but honestly, we expected no less.

Arab summit opening slams Iranian interference
Saudi Arabia is pushing for a tough, unified stance against Iran at the annual gathering of the 22-member Arab League. Gulf Arab states have made great relief donations to Syria but have not officially offered asylum to Syrians.

Instead, they should stick to approved shots of the Saturday night performance.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past year, you'll know that today is the day Beyonce took on the main stage at Coachella - and made history while doing it.

The group played three songs from their heyday: "Lose My Breath", "Say My Name" and "Soldier". But this explosive more than made up for her fans.

"I was supposed to perform at Coachella before, but I ended up getting pregnant", Beyoncé said. She wrote: "I am so excited to see the BeyHive tonight at Coachella. We have been working hard and have a special show planned for you so please be safe and stay hydrated", she wrote on Facebook. Incredible work, incredible performance, just incredible.
