Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro Complete Specs Leaked ahead of Launch

Quite surprisingly, Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's latest mid-range processor Snapdragon 636 which is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. Interested viewers can log on to the Xiaomi official website Mi com and can watch the Redmi launch after signing in with Mi accounts on Facebook.

The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat which is layered with MIUI 9 on top. All this, while retaining the goodness of the base Redmi Note 5.

Like Redmi Note 5 Pro, it will feature an LED Selfie-light for the ideal selfie even in challenging lighting conditions. In addition to rocking some of the best hardware specs you can think of in the sub-INR 15,000 category, the Redmi Note 5 Pro also brings about a few cool additions to the budget Redmi series.

As per the reports, the Redmi Note 5 battery capacity is 4000mAh battery, and it is half a millimeter thinner than last year's model. It is also the first Xiaomi smartphone that will have much famous "Face Unlock" feature. Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Pro is the thinnest Redmi Note ever, as per the Xiaomi. It has a 20-megapixel front camera. Xiaomi itself has also shared a teaser, which indicated the launch of its television set in India. In a launch event, there were three new Xiaomi products which were unveiled by the Chinese smartphone maker. Along with this he also reveals the most noteworthy detail that's its processor that takes the responsibility under its hood, it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 which is an absolute beast when it comes to power and efficiency. We will have to wait and see if Xiaomi sticks with a similar price for the Redmi Note 5. The company has designed a special charger exclusively for the Indian market, and will be giving a transparent silicon case free with the device.

The phone starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB + 32GB variant and for the higher 4GB + 64GB model, it is priced at Rs. 11,999. Packing a 12-mp rear camera with LED Selfie-light and a 5-mp camera lens at the front end, the Redmi Note 5 comes in two storage variants, one with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, and the other with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

On the pricing front, Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 4 at Yuan 3,499 for the 49-inch version, which is around Rs 35,500 plus on conversion.

Meanwhile, the Mi TV 4 will offer a frameless design with Mi TV Bar paired with 10 powerful speakers, 2 wireless rear satellite speakers, and a subwoofer. It also supports HDR 10 and HLG, H.263, H.264, H.265 and MPEG1 video formats.
