New Apple iPads will launch in March, leak suggests

Legal obligations require devices that use encryption to be registered ahead of release.

The company received permission from the Eurasian Economic Commission to market the A1893 and A1954 tablets running iOS 11. Previous Apple products filed with the commission, such as AirPods, were launched the next day, and new MacBooks turned up a few weeks later.

A regulatory filing shows that Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) could release two new iPads soon. Recent rumours have suggested Apple would wait until this fall to release new iPad Pro models. According to the latest filing, there are two new models that the tech giant might be unveiling during the month of March.

In December, DigiTimes reported Apple planned on introducing a lower priced iPad in 2018.

Apple did not hold a press event for the $329 iPad, only announcing it in a press release. The new 9.7-inch model could be priced as low as $259.
