Jóhannsson's death was confirmed by his management on Saturday morning, but a cause of death was not released.
The tragic news were reported late this afternoon that Icelandic musician and composer Jóhann Jóhannsson was found dead in his Berlin home yesterday.
Jóhannsson, an Icelandic composer who often incorporated electronic sounds into his scores, received Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations over the course of his celebrated career.
"It is with profound sadness that we confirm the passing of our dear friend Jóhann", the post read.

The reception was held at a hotel in Yongpyeong, just east of the host city of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games. Outside the stadium, there were anti-unification protests over North Korea's involvement in the games.

Joann was nominated at the Oscars, the Grammys and BAFTA for The Theory of Everything in 2014, and won the Golden Globe for his score.
Tributes have been pouring in from across the music and film industries.
He's survived by his daughter, parents and 3 sisters. Moorhead tweeted: "We just lost Johann Johannsson, one of the best composers in the world".
