The Square Enix rep, who's played a lot of the game on console, says he'd never noticed that Gladiolus had tattoos on his back - but now that his coat can flap about realistically you can see it. (We've asked Square Enix if Xbox One data is similarly compatible with Windows Edition and will update accordingly.) There will also be cross-play for Comrades between the two systems, which Square Enix will add as part of an update sometime after launch.

"If you pre-purchase or purchase FF15 Windows Edition on Steam before 1st May 2018, you can claim the Half-Life pack via Steam Workshop", reads this Steam Community post.

Everyone who purchases the game via Steam before May 1 will receive the Half-Life Pack, a selection of bonus equipment that lets players dress up the game's protagonist Noctis and their multiplayer character in the included Comrades expansion as the hero from Half-Life.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is launching in a week, and it's going to come to Steam with some pretty surprising bonuses.

Those on the Microsoft Store will gain access to a set of Phoenix Downs and Elixirs to use from the start of the game, along with a special sword. Finally, if you grab the game via Origin, you get a special set of auto decals by preordering ahead of March 6.

Bringing with it the entirety of chapter one, it's available to download on Monday, February 26.

This is far from the first instance of crossover materials coming to Final Fantasy 15, as Square Enix and Ubisoft teamed up to produce Assassin's Creed Origins content for the latest entry in the long-running RPG series.
