South Korea says the artists will return to the North on Tuesday by a land route.

According to Pence's office, there was "no interaction" between the US vice president and the North Korean officials.

South Korea's defence ministry and cybersecurity experts are included in the taskforce investigating Friday's attack, but the possible culprit is being kept under wraps.

Later on Saturday Mr Moon and Mr Kim will attend the first ice hockey match played by athletes from both North and South Korea on Saturday, according to reports.

The invitation was delivered to Moon when the North's delegation paid a visit to him on Saturday.

Tensions between the two soared previous year as Pyongyang launched intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the United States mainland and carried out by far its most powerful nuclear test to date.

Israel's diabolic plan for Palestine
When asked when the USA will unveil its peace plan, the president responded by saying: "We are going to see what goes on". Since Israel would never relinquish Jerusalem , the argument goes, it is better to just sweep the issue off the table.

Moon had said "let's create conditions to make it happen", the official said, an indication that he was likely to accept the invitation. Moon and Abe met Friday hours before the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. In the past, he has said that there was a limit to how much the Koreas' ties could improve without a resolution of the nuclear weapons issue.

The official added that Pence is confident that the United States, South Korea and Japan alliance will continue to be strong regardless of inter-Korean talks around the Olympics and whether or not they continue after the games.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has smiled and shaken hands with North Korea's 90-year-old nominal head of state as they attended a VIP reception before the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Olympics. US officials have not ruled out the possibility that the vice president might meet a North Korean official at the Olympics.

Almost 500 North Koreans are participating in the Olympics, which run through to Feb 25, including a cheering squad, art troupe and taekwondo demonstration team, the South's Unification Ministry said.

And then, during the ceremonies, as North and South Korean athletes entered the stadium together under a unified flag, Pence and his wife Karen remained seated while everyone around them rose to applaud. The issue is not "intent": The issue is taking time to note that Mike Pence was thrown shade, regardless of who threw it-in this case, a woman who was sanctioned by the us government in connection to human rights abuses authorized by her brother, who regards her as a confidant.

As First Vice Director of the Central Committee of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party, Kim has been an increasingly prominent figure in North Korea's leadership and is considered one of the few people who has earned her brother's absolute trust.
