Afridi's gentle act wins hearts of cricket fans

He autographed the posters, even a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf flag, obliged all the selfie seekers, seemed a tad irritated with multiple one-on-one interview requests, took his wife and youngest daughter out for a walk down the lake and did not even give a second glance at a young Pakistani woman, who in front of everyone shouted "Lala aapse kabhi alag se mil sakti hoon (Can I meet you somewhere else?)".

Afridi is now in Switzerland playing ice cricket and even Virender Sehwag and lot of other veterans are a part of this league which is the first of its kind.

Afridi noticed the flag in her hand and requested her to hold it while clicking the snap.

Shahid Afridi asked her to open her flag and hold it properly.

This gesture by Afridi has won everyone's heart as he showed true sportsmanship. "My relationship with Virat is not dictated by political situation".

The 37-year-old who retired from global cricket in February 2017 told PTI that he loves Virat Kohli's aggression and believes that by supporting the juniors in crisis situations, the Delhi lad has earned respect from the youngsters.

For someone, who was a maverick during his worldwide career, Afridi loves Kohli's aggression and believes that supporting juniors in crisis situations has also helped him in earning respect from youngsters.

"He (Kohli) is a doing brilliant job and I have no problem with his aggression if it is under control". He has lots of fan here in India too. "Virat's character is different from former Indian skipper MS Dhoni who was a calm and composed individual", Afridi told PTI.
