"The deputy foreign minister said "there has been a diplomatic battle between us [Iran] and the United States", adding in this diplomatic battle, Iran managed to separate the Europeans from the United States, and now all European countries, Russian Federation and China confirmed that the deal can not be negotiated again".

"This is a last chance", Trump said in a statement, EFE reported.

"Then we achieve a permanent bar on Iran from ever getting a nuclear weapon or a long-range ballistic missile".

Ben Cardin (D - Md.), respectively the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is deemed by critics as inadequately addressing concerns with the nuclear deal.

But by failing to keep such weapons out of Yemen, the report said, "the Islamic Republic of Iran is in non-compliance" with Resolution 2216, adopted almost three years ago after the war between the Houthi rebels and the Saudi-backed government in Yemen had begun.

Congress has so far shown little interest in using legislation to undercut or change the current Iran nuclear deal. Washington also imposed sanctions on the head of Iran's judiciary and others.

Officials from various countries have insisted on continued implementing the 2015 nuclear deal as U.S. President Donald Trump handed European allies an ultimatum to revamp the deal.

The Treasury Department also targeted 14 more Iranian individuals and entities involved in human rights abuses and ballistic missile development with sanctions. Most of those sanctions including the ones imposed on Iran's judiciary chief came as a effect of the crackdown by the government of its citizens who were protesting peacefully last week. Trump has complained that numerous Iranian restrictions expire next decade and has vacillated between talk of toughening the deal and pulling the US out entirely.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses clearly that it will take no measures beyond its commitments under the JCPOA and will accept no changes to this agreement now or in the future and will not allow that the JCPOA be linked to any other issue [than the nuclear issue]", the statement read.

In his lengthy statement, Trump said the US would work with European partners to remove the nuclear deal's so-called "sunset clauses", which allow Iran to gradually resume advanced atomic activity. They should designate Hezbollah, in its entirety, as a terrorist organization.

First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said in a post on his Instagram page that the United States would "lose out" if they withdrew from the deal. "And they should not do business with groups that enrich Iran's dictatorship or fund the Revolutionary Guard and its terrorist proxies".
