Kia's new Cerato looking classy in preview sketches

At the time, it was unclear if this vehicle would be the Cerato or Europe's new C'eed, and it may indeed end up launching as both. Kia explains the query for the designers was to deliver a "more sophisticated" look while still holding to the sporty credentials given by the Stinger inspiration. The front clip is flanked by a more dynamic headlamp design and layout. K3 is the Korean domestic market name for our Cerato, so this is a preview of the upcoming next-generation Kia Cerato, also known as the Forte in some markets.

If these renderings are an accurate indication of the real auto, the Forte will have a more muscular appearance thanks to the pronounced creases in the hood, a deeper tiger nose grille, and an aggressive front bumper with big air intakes.

The small sedan has been heavily restyled inside and out and the new sleeker-looking model will present a more refined and premium offering compared to the out-going second-generation. The auto is sold as the Forte in the U.S. market. But the most significant change is the switch from the predecessor model's cab-forward design to a swept-back one.

The circular vents are similar to those found in the Stinger dash.
