The truth may still be out there, but after "The X-Files" wraps its 10-episode season later this year, Dana Scully will not.

Speaking during a panel as part of the Television Critics Association's press tour (via Deadline), Anderson explained that there's so much she hopes to do moving forward, and The X-Files was, in a way, keeping her from doing those things.

"I've tried to say goodbye to Fox Mulder many times, and I've failed", he said.

The actress announced that she was permanently leaving not one but two sci-fi TV shows at the same time, revealing that it was the end for Dana Scully and also her character Media from American Gods. "But I'm serious. I'm finished". "I arrived at the decision before we did the previous six", she said. 'I felt that the previous six was going to be it.

According to reports, the injured soldiers were part of the parade that will be held at Army Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment. The incident is said to have taken place due to the malfunctioning of a slithering boom attached to the helicopter.

She added, "I wouldn't necessarily have been happy if those six were how we said goodbye". It would be impossible to imagine The X-Files moving forward without Scully, though to be fair, the show attempted something similar during Season Eight when co-star David Duchovny quit being a full-time character on the show after filing a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox. And they all went and did the show without me, so how do you like that? "I'm feeling pretty pissed off now that I remember!" I'm good either way.

The ending of this season has already been filmed, but Anderson said she wasn't ready to comment on whether she's satisfied with how it ends.

Duchovny is reported to have said it would be "good either way" if The X-Files, which sees Mulder and Scully investigate paranormal events and UFOs, continued without Anderson for another season.

As Season 11 began, we picked up right where we left off in Season 10 as Mulder and Scully discovered that there were others out there looking for their son William while attempting to determine what their next move should be. Before the season, CarterMatt did think that Fox could try to pull a fast one and renew the show even without Gillian Anderson on board. But she has become more reflective of Scully, and what the show has meant to her. "It's been an extraordinary opportunity and an extraordinary character".
