Directed by Akshat Verma, Kaalakaandi is a dark comedy starring Saif, Vijay Raaz, Deepak Dobriyal, Shobita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasurywala, Nary Singh and Akshay Oberoi. He feels they could have sold it to be released in another medium. I think it was a little European in flavour, and the drama could have been a little more. There are chances that the film might be released any time in the beginning of 2018. "I think when we get close to that release, it will be like my film releasing".
Well, we appreciate that Saif is confident about his film, but releasing it along with Padmavati is not a good idea. I also got some good reviews, but then some things are out of your control. I don't want to be anxious about anything as long as I have integrity and I am working hard. "It's easy to think that people no longer want to see me in a film".
Kaalakaandi is slated for a January 12 release. I didn't see enough buzz around the film.
