The three foreign ministers are expected to exchange views on major worldwide and regional issues of common concern and also deepen trilateral pragmatic cooperation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuan told a media briefing in Beijing today.
"We believe under the joint efforts of the three parties, this meeting will achieve expected outcomes", he said ahead of the 15th RIC meeting.
In November, China again "criticised" a visit by President Ram Nath Kovind to Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims, saying China opposed any activities by Indian leaders in disputed areas.
The RIC Foreign Ministers' meeting was planned for April here but it had to be postponed as Wang could not confirm his participation in the meeting due to scheduling problems. India had objected to the construction highlighting its security concerns.
The standoff began in mid-June after Chinese troops started building a road on the remote Doklam plateau.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told media here yesterday that Wang will meet top Indian officials on its sidelines. The two sides have not yet announced the dates for the meeting.
