What's more exciting is that Sega has also announced that Valkyria Chronicles 4 will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and - most deliciously - Switch in 2018.

Instead of following the tale of Squad 7, Valkyria Chronicles 4 puts you into the shoes Squad E, a band including the likes of Commander Claude Wallace, engineer Riley Miller, "hothead" Darcsen Raz, sniper Kai Schulen "and more".

A press release goes on to say that all of these characters will "experience the painful realities of war". A debut trailer focusing on the game's art direction and story was revealed at the end of the countdown, which can be viewed below.

Detailed Justice League International Box Office Opening Results
The superhero team-up scored $51.7 million in China and had the biggest weekend debut of all time in Brazil with $14.2 million. It is the only film in the DC Extended Universe to not crack the $100 million mark in North America at its opening.

A release date for the game was not detailed - we'll keep you informed as more is known. As for USA release, we only know that all three versions will come sometime next year. The game features a fix of turn-based and shooting elements as you take part in various battles. Maps and battles are generally getting larger, according to the announcement from Sega, and units will now have the chance to perform a "Last Stand" action before dying in the heat of combat.

Fans of the series will also appreciate that series composer Hitoshi Sakimoto is also returning to score Valkyria Chronicles 4.

The title, a return to the series' Strategy RPG roots, will focus around a "coming of age" story for Squad E, as they face their own challenges during the same timeframe of events as the original Valkyria Chronicles. And, as the video below demonstrates, so too is the "CANVAS Graphics Engine" (albeit overhauled for a new generation of hardware). They've been working on creating a new visually expressive world that combines the look and "warmth" of a watercolor painting but with today's newest rendering technology. The main cast of characters is collectively referred to as Squad E, under the command of Claude Wallace, and is tasked with the daunting mission of infiltrating and capturing the Imperial capital.
